Artist working in Textile, print
and mixed media
Having worked for many years as a textile artist, Jean Rowe now works
mainly in print on paper. Experimenting with intaglio and relief techniques
her work reflects her interest in text and line. Frequently minimal and with
an elegance defined by linear marks, Jean's work is a response to chosen
materials. Each outcome informs the next piece.
A love of paper and more specifically
the book form has inspired Jean
to pass on her knowledge of book binding to artists and students, feeding the
recent upsurge of interest in book arts.
